How Memobox Protects Your Privacy
Your voice memos are personal. Here's exactly how Memobox keeps your data on-device and out of the cloud.
Privacy isn't a feature at Memobox โ it's the foundation the entire product is built on. When you speak your thoughts into an app, you deserve to know where they go. Here's our full answer.
On-Device Processing by Default
JEETU, our AI companion, runs entirely on your device. Your voice memos are transcribed and processed locally โ no audio or text is sent to a remote server during normal use. This means your most personal thoughts stay on your phone, full stop.
No Ad Targeting, Ever
Memobox has no advertising business model. We do not sell data, build ad profiles, or share any user information with third parties. Our only revenue is from subscriptions โ your data is never the product.
What We Do Collect (and Why)
We collect minimal crash reports and anonymous usage metrics (e.g., "a note was created", never the note's content) to improve the app. This data is fully anonymised before it leaves your device, and you can opt out entirely in Settings โ Privacy.
Collaborative Plans: What Teammates See
When you share a Plan with collaborators, only the tasks and plan name are visible to them โ not your raw voice memos or personal notes. You control exactly what gets shared.
Deleting Your Data
Deleting your account permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days. We do not retain backups of user content after deletion.
We believe productivity tools should empower you, not surveil you. If you ever have questions about your data, reach out to privacy@memobox.app.
